Why Holocaust Education (Still) Matters

Professor Scott Murray, Mount Royal University, examines how awareness of the Holocaust continues to shrink, yet no event better teaches the dire consequences of racism, and bystander inaction. Dr. Murray's talk will be followed by a screening of Who Will Write Our History, a powerful new film about the heroic efforts of a handful of people to record the Nazis' persecution of European Jewry during the Second World War. Together, the film and Dr. Murray's remarks affirm the importance of both learning about the Holocaust, and acting on what it teaches us about humanity and inhumanity. In honour of International Day of Holocaust Remembrance. In partnership with the Calgary Jewish Federation and the Faculty of Arts at Mount Royal University.
